INTRODUCTION

The Commander traffic barrier is the right product for high volume access control applications, such as shopping mall parking lots, large business estates, etc. It incorporates a 220V torque motor. The unit operating characteristic ot this type of motor provides the system with a continuous rating. It is very efficient with a barrier raise time of less than 4 seconds.

It offers fail safe operation in that the barrier will automatically raise in the event of a mains power failure.

The Commander barrier enclosures are robustly constructed from either mild or stainless steel to provide a tough and long lasting product.

The reliability of the system its further enhanced by the simplicity of the design and the minimal quantity of the components used.

The unit is very easy to install as it requires only two sturdy rawl bolts into a proper foundation to secure it in position.

OPERATION

The Commander barrier is fitted with the CP91AC controller, which is available in two operating modes. The controller has plug in terminals for easy exchange.

SEMI AUTOMATIC OPERATION: Standard entry/exit via remote control, keypad, pushbutton etc. Auto-close is available to lower the boom. There is a safety input for an infrared beam or inductive loop and a potential free contact for external security light.

AUTOMATIC OPERATION: Memory and non-memory input via card reader, ticket vending machines etc, to raise barrier. Inductive loop input acts as safety loop when vehicle is present, the boom lowers automatically when the vehicle is passed. There is a ticket vend interlock via potential free contact which will inhibit ticket issue when boom is raising or up.

The system can be configure for applications where the barrier is used for both entrance and exit control where for vehicles exiting a free exit facility is required.
